Who Are We?

We are the Western New York Committee of the Professional Football Researchers Association. This committee is responsible with researching pro/semi-pro and amateur football in the Western New York area prior to 1970. Rochester Jeffersons (Ken Crippen and John Steffenhagen) - Reconstructing the complete history of the Rochester Jeffersons.

1920's Buffalo teams (Jeffrey Miller and Greg Tranter) - Researching Buffalo professional teams that played in the 1920's.

Watertown Athletic Association (Ken Crippen) - Reconstructing the history of the Watertown A.A. from 1896 to 1920.

Buffalo AAFC Teams (Ken Crippen): Compiling details on the Buffalo Bisons/Bills of the 1946-1949 AAFC.

1940 Buffalo Indians and 1941 Buffalo Tigers (Darin Paine) - Researching two AFL teams that played in Buffalo.

Empire Football League (Dave Burch) - Researching the history of this semi-professional football league.
